About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Piping Designer to work remotely within the United States or in a hybrid arrangement from one of its U.S. hub offices. The role involves preparing, modifying, coordinating, and reviewing designs for process piping and process equipment at power generation and industrial manufacturing facilities. The designer will develop piping and equipment layouts in 3D, prepare isometric drawings with bills of materials, and prepare PFDs and P&IDs under the supervision of a process engineer. The position also involves coordinating with architects and electrical engineers, reviewing construction progress in the field, and participating in commissioning. The successful candidate will bring substantial engineering design-firm experience, power plant design expertise, and knowledge of ASME B31.1 Power Piping, high-pressure steam and feedwater piping, and pipe support design. The role requires the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, interface with clients and project teams, mentor colleagues, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and travel to client sites. Overtime may be necessary as workload dictates. The position is offered as regular employee work. Expected compensation is $55.00–$75.00 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location. Benefits may vary with employment status and may include medical, dental, and vision coverage; company-paid life and short- and long-term disability benefits; an employer-matched 401(k) with 100% vesting; an employee stock purchase plan; paid time off; leave options; flexible work options; recognition and employee satisfaction programs; an employee assistance program; and voluntary benefits.
