About The Position

As a Senior Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer – Mechanical Systems at Honeywell Aerospace, you will contribute technical expertise to engineering and testing activities for aerospace engines and power systems. You will design and analyze gears, bearings, seals, and lubrication systems for fielded products and new turbofan, turboshaft, and auxiliary power unit applications. The work applies design, physics, mathematics, and software development principles and supports continuous improvement of design, analysis, and simulation methods. You will serve as a subject matter expert and lead mechanical systems design and analysis activities. This includes coordinating the day-to-day work of one to two individual contributors, providing technical oversight and decisions, ensuring architectural decisions meet program requirements, and overseeing engineering deliverables. You will also support program planning and proposal activities for commercial and military customers. The position is based in Phoenix, Arizona, with a hybrid schedule of three days onsite and two days remote after the first 90 days. It reports to the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager. Candidates must meet U.S. Person requirements under applicable export control laws.
