About The Position

Performs detailed engineering analysis using CAE software packages, particularly ANSYS, and hand calculations to validate new products and new applications for existing products. Works with other CAE engineers to peer review software settings and analysis outputs, and supports analysis needs for global design teams. The role includes structural, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and thermal analysis, validating analysis against physical testing data, documenting results, and providing design recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of applicable engineering experience.
• Experience with CAE software; ANSYS is preferred.
• Experience performing calculations for engineering design.
• Experience with 3D CAD software.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ANSYS CAE software.
• Experience with SolidWorks and SpaceClaim 3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex geometries and systems using ANSYS Workbench to evaluate whether design criteria are met under specified loading conditions.
• Perform structural analysis, including elastic and elastic-plastic analysis, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and thermal analysis.
• Verify analysis results against physical testing data to refine assumptions.
• Write reports documenting boundary conditions, assumptions, materials, and analysis outputs.
• Recommend relevant design changes and make minor geometry modifications during design iterations.
• Peer review analyses and calculations performed by other CAE engineers.
• Provide technical presentations on project progress and new findings.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
