About The Position

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will join a small, fast-paced team designing and deploying warehouse robotic systems. You will work with engineers to conceptualize, design, build, and test robot subsystems. The role suits someone excited about large-scale robot deployment and comfortable adapting to the needs of an early-stage startup. The base pay range is $150,000 to $200,000, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience. Requirements

At least 5 years of industry experience.
A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM.
Background in user-facing product design.
Ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally.
Hands-on experience with robotic or mechatronic systems.
Ability to work independently.
Track record of working with and managing vendors.

Responsibilities

Work with the mechanical team to deliver the next-generation robot design.
Design and manage components across the hardware lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, test, and production.
Collaborate cross-functionally with industrial design, electrical engineering, product, and software teams to ensure design decisions fit system constraints.
Propose and resolve issues with current robot systems while accounting for engineering effort and budget.
Rapidly iterate on designs by building quick prototypes.
Design and execute test plans for designs.
