Our Central Compute Hardware (CCH) Mechanical Design team is a dynamic, high-energy group focused on developing enclosures for next-generation Electronic Control Units (ECUs) shared across future ICE and EV vehicle programs. The team is responsible for the mechanical, EMI, and thermal design of compute-related electronics using first-principles engineering, CAD, and analysis while collaborating closely with GM vehicle integration teams, in-house electrical design teams, and external suppliers. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Level 7) with strong Siemens NX and Teamcenter proficiency to support the development of GM’s Software Defined Vehicle electronics. This role is remote-first and is focused on CAD ownership, product data management, interface coordination, and design execution for ECU housings and related hardware. The engineer in this role will partner closely with senior technical experts and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust, manufacturable designs into production while providing periodic onsite support for key prototype builds, design reviews, and verification activities.
