About The Position

Arrow International is seeking an experienced Senior Materials Planner to join their team. This role is crucial for supporting inventory control, planning, reporting, and service levels across various product categories including finished goods, eGaming, hardware, equipment, and related components. The planner will play a key role in enhancing inventory visibility and accuracy during Arrow's transition to SAP. The position involves collaborating with the materials team and cross-functional partners to minimize excess inventory, prevent stock-outs, and refine reporting and planning processes. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing or distribution and possess strong skills in working with systems and data.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in business, supply chain, engineering, systems, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in materials planning, inventory control, production planning, scheduling, or a related function.
  • Solid ERP experience required; SAP experience preferred.
  • Experience with AS/400, Query, PRMS, or other integrated manufacturing systems is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control, forecasting, MPS, MRP, DRP, and inventory turns.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience building reports and analyzing inventory data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, identifying gaps, and using data to support decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Experience with AS/400, Query, PRMS, or other integrated manufacturing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels across product lines, warehouses, and distribution locations.
  • Maintain inventory targets, forecasts, and planning parameters by item, and track on-hand inventory against targets.
  • Build, maintain, and automate reporting on inventory, service levels, demand, warehouse balances, and transfers.
  • Support SAP transition efforts through data accuracy, reporting, inventory controls, and planning process improvements.
  • Support planning processes, including forecasting, MPS, MRP, and DRP.
  • Coordinate transfers between warehouses to maintain inventory balance and support service levels.
  • Analyze inventory levels and usage trends to identify excess inventory and stock-out risks.
  • Partner with manufacturing, purchasing, planning, warehouse, and operations teams to improve inventory turns.
  • Audit and correct system data to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with training team members on inventory procedures, reports, and data entry.
  • Travel to warehouse or distribution locations as needed to support physical counts, audits, and process reviews.
