Senior Material Handler - 2nd Shift

About The Position

JELD-WEN is seeking a Senior Material Handler to support warehouse and material-handling operations. Depending on the assignment, the role includes moving trailers and trucks within the yard, inspecting incoming loads and shipping documents, operating forklifts, preparing materials, loading finished products, supporting inventory counts, and staging and packaging products for delivery. The position works in a safe, challenging, and fast-paced environment and may require overtime to meet customer demands. Previous experience in manufacturing or a similar environment is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally team-lift items exceeding 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maneuver trucks within the parking lot.
Place empty trailers in docks from the yard, or move trailers from the yard to dock doors as directed and needed.
Inspect incoming loads.
Check shipping documents for correct customer information.
Operate propane and electric forklift vehicles (hi-los).
Perform a preventative maintenance inspection at the start of the shift.
Load semi-trucks and box trucks with required finished product.
Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
Prepare and handle materials.
Stage and package finished product for delivery.
Work overtime as needed to satisfy customer demands.
Perform other general warehouse duties as needed.
