Senior Material Handler - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Moog is hiring a Senior Material Handler for its Space and Defense Group in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is an onsite role in a collaborative manufacturing environment. The schedule is a 9/80 workweek: Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and every other Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with every other Friday off. The Senior Material Handler supports the storage and movement of materials and goods throughout the facility, shipping and receiving, warehouse activities, inventory control, and materials-related documentation. The role also participates in continuous improvement. The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. The listed hourly salary range is $23.00–$26.00. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including location, experience, and performance. Moog describes additional rewards and benefits that may include bonuses and location-specific offerings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, including Excel, and data entry skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Shipping and receiving experience.
- Ability to operate a forklift; training and certification will be provided.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- 5S and/or Lean Manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Support storage and movement of raw materials, supplies, parts and components, and finished goods within the facility.
- Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse-related activities.
- Execute inventory control processes, including cycle counts, variance reconciliation, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Process and submit materials-related workflows, documentation, and records management.
- Participate in the Continuous Improvement Process.
