About The Position

Big Human is a full-service creative agency that collaborates with prominent brands to realize their visions through technology, design, branding, and growth. Since 2010, the agency has a proven track record of delivering numerous websites, applications, and brands for satisfied clients. As the marketing practice expands, Big Human is seeking a Senior Marketing Strategist to manage client marketing workstreams comprehensively, from initial strategy to final execution. This role offers significant autonomy and is suited for individuals with established experience who can independently define and drive marketing initiatives. The position integrates strategy, execution, editorial judgment, and client leadership, requiring the ability to translate business objectives into actionable marketing plans and drive them forward proactively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience owning a client or brand relationship end-to-end, from strategy through delivery.
  • Experience building a GTM or campaign strategy from scratch.
  • Experience shipping marketing work without constant senior strategist review.
  • Experience providing content feedback that significantly improved the work.
  • Experience telling clients or internal stakeholders "no" or "not yet" and maintaining that position.
  • Ability to think in outcomes, not just deliverables.
  • Focus on initiatives that move the needle, not just fill a calendar.
  • Confidence in making trade-offs, even with incomplete information.
  • A drive to ensure shipped work is effective.
  • Strong sense of quality content across various formats and brands.
  • Ability to efficiently edit AI-generated drafts and elevate their quality.
  • Adaptability in voice across different brands while maintaining distinctiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Design the strategy for client marketing workstreams.
  • Manage execution across various marketing channels.
  • Shape content and creative direction for client projects.
  • Lead client communication and relationship management.

  • Translate client goals (growth, revenue, engagement) into clear marketing strategies and execution plans.
  • Develop Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for new and emerging products or initiatives.
  • Take the initial strategic pass on new projects.
  • Make clear trade-offs regarding which initiatives to pursue based on impact versus effort.
  • Ensure all initiatives align with defined goals and success metrics.
  • Use AI tools to explore strategic directions, test plans, and improve efficiency.
  • Define clear goals and success metrics for each client and initiative.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts and identify areas for increased focus.
  • Reprioritize strategies based on performance, new insights, or changing client needs.
  • Effectively communicate when to decline or postpone initiatives and provide clear justifications.
  • Break down strategies into weekly actions that drive measurable progress.
  • Shape and enhance AI-assisted content to ensure it aligns with brand, strategy, and quality standards.
  • Review and edit articles, emails, captions, and campaign copy with a critical editorial eye.
  • Establish and maintain high content quality standards for assigned accounts.

  • Ensure campaigns are adapted and improved based on learnings.
