About The Position

The Position Genentech USA, Inc. seeks a Senior Marketing Manager at its South San Francisco, CA location. Duties: Apply pharmaceutical or biotechnology background to execute seamless, well-integrated marketing campaigns across multiple marketing platforms and channels across various therapeutic lines as an individual contributor. Gather and leverage appropriate customer insights and data to determine product value proposition and to inform the optimal integrated customer experience. Monitor marketing activity usage, performance, and customer satisfaction to optimize campaigns and drive customer and business outcomes. Identify key internal network partners and external resources and align them to the marketing strategy to optimize all marketing content, including messaging and channel mix, for target customers. Partner with agencies and the Promotional Review Committee (PRC), including Legal and Regulatory, to ensure development, approval, and pull-through of compliant and effective promotional tactics. Measure marketing performance through leading, lagging, and customer satisfaction indicators to optimize campaigns and drive customer and business outcomes. Make decisions and act in close alignment with the full product value proposition, customer positioning, and team priorities; and work collaboratively across multiple nationwide teams, and internal functional groups to integrate brand strategy and tactics into the strength of Genentech’s Portfolio as a partner. Shape national strategy and develop customized plan at the eco/local level and support ecosystem planning and identify opportunities to develop strategy and prioritize efforts to capitalize on local business opportunities. May telecommute up to 2 days per week. Position requires up to 20% fully reimbursed domestic travel.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Biotechnology or related field and 2 years of experience as a Marketing Manager, Marketing Associate, or related position in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • 2 year(s) of experience must include: Global clinical trial management
  • End-to-end medicine development
  • Communicating clinical attributes of medicines to healthcare professionals
  • Development and execution of pharmaceutical sales plans
