The Senior Marketing Associate supports the execution of the firm’s marketing strategy by owning day-to-day campaign coordination, content management, and marketing workflows. This role serves as the bridge between strategy (VP of Marketing) and production (external agency partners), ensuring initiatives are executed efficiently, consistently, and on time. This position is responsible for executing campaigns within Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot), managing timelines, coordinating with agency partners, and supporting ongoing optimization of marketing efforts across channels. This role is designed for an experienced, highly organized marketing professional who can operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive execution while continuously improving marketing effectiveness. This role will also be responsible for overseeing AI-assisted marketing workflows, ensuring quality, consistency, and continuous improvement of automated systems. The Marketing Operations & Content Lead will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to evolve marketing execution from manual processes to AI-enabled systems over time.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) or similar marketing automation platforms.
  • Proficiency in email marketing, list management, segmentation, and campaign QA.
  • Experience coordinating with external agencies or vendors.
  • Proficiency in Canva or similar design tools for template-based content creation and quick-turn updates.
  • Understanding of digital marketing channels including email, social media, website, and search.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.
  • Experience updating website content within content management systems, preferably WordPress.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Comfort working with AI tools and integrating them into day-to-day workflows (or willingness to learn!).
  • Ability to manage and QA AI-generated content and outputs.
  • Experience improving processes through automation or system optimization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to tone, detail, and accuracy.
  • Ability to operate independently, take ownership, and proactively solve problems.
  • Professional presence appropriate for a high-touch, ultra-affluent client environment.
  • BA degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4–7 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in financial services, professional services, or B2B environments.
  • Experience executing campaigns within marketing automation platforms (Pardot strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with external agencies or cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with basic video editing tools and workflows (e.g., Descript, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience in financial services: Prior experience or familiarity with marketing in the financial services industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Translate marketing priorities into actionable timelines and coordinate execution across email, social media, web, and digital channels.
  • Track deliverables, manage deadlines, and ensure campaigns are launched accurately and on schedule.
  • Ensure campaigns are properly distributed and visible to relevant stakeholders, supporting follow-through beyond initial launch.
  • Own and manage the marketing content calendar.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure timely delivery of content.
  • Assist in drafting, editing, and formatting content to align with brand voice and messaging.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining website copy to ensure alignment with current messaging, campaigns, and content priorities.
  • Ensure content is organized and accessible for internal use across campaigns and initiatives.
  • Coordinate video content initiatives, including scheduling subject matter experts, organizing recordings, and managing the flow of video assets.
  • Support light editing or formatting as needed using simple tools.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for external partners, including creative and digital agencies.
  • Manage project requests, provide clear direction, track progress, and ensure deliverables meet expectations and deadlines.
  • Execute campaigns within Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot), including building and deploying emails, managing lists and segmentation, and conducting QA prior to launch.
  • Maintain organization within the platform, including naming conventions and campaign structure.
  • Utilize Canva and template-based tools to create and edit simple marketing assets, including social media graphics, email components, and quick-turn updates.
  • Support ongoing optimization of website and content for search and AI-driven discovery.
  • Assist with keyword alignment, including updating website copy, landing pages, and on-site content to improve visibility and alignment with SEO and AEO best practices, and structuring content to improve visibility across search engines and AI platforms.
  • Partner with agency resources to implement improvements and maintain best practices.
  • Monitor and track performance of marketing campaigns, including email and digital engagement metrics.
  • Provide basic reporting and visibility into campaign effectiveness, and support ongoing optimization by sharing insights with the VP of Marketing and agency partners.
  • Maintain a foundational understanding of Whittier Trust’s Five Pillars of Service to support accurate communication.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and discretion when interacting with ultra-affluent clients and external partners.
