Senior Supervisor, Manufacturing
About The Position
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Senior Manufacturing Supervisor for the site, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by supervising and directing a team of manufacturing engineers, supporting safely and efficiently manufacturing quality products in their area of responsibility, ensuring that engineering deliverables are aligned with the goals and timelines of the plant, developing the technical abilities of the operational manufacturing engineering team, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years of combined engineering and/or manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Nice To Haves
- Eight (8) years of combined engineering and/or manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Experience supervising manufacturing engineers and/or hourly personnel
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Experience with compounding, coating, slitting and/or converting processes
- Experience effectively using and analyzing process data to drive decisions
Responsibilities
- Supervising and directing a team of manufacturing engineers
- Supports safely and efficiently manufacturing quality products in their area of responsibility
- Ensuring that engineering deliverables are aligned with the goals and timelines of the plant
- Developing the technical abilities of the operational manufacturing engineering team
- Fostering an environment of continuous improvement
- Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
