About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) Lead to support the Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) organization. This role serves as the primary owner of all assigned MRL deliverables, including milestone planning, risk identification, communication, and mitigation activities, following the ESTO MRL process. The assigned hardware will primarily include insert and fastener assemblies at both Pratt & Whitney suppliers and Pratt & Whitney assembly sites.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), and 5 years of relevant technical experience, or an Advanced Degree and 3 years of relevant technical experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the ESTO MRL Manager and will be responsible for leading and managing all MRL activities for the assigned critical hardware.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Suppliers, and the Manufacturing Engineering MRL team to ensure readiness and alignment.
  • Develop and maintain clear, structured MRL progression plans for assigned hardware, ensuring alignment with program requirements and readiness targets.
  • Ensure successful and timely execution of all MRL progression milestones, proactively addressing risks and roadblocks.
  • Collaborate closely with CIPT (Component Integrated Product Team), Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, and Supplier Development partners to identify, communicate, and mitigate MRL risks.
  • Support monthly reviews by providing accurate status updates, readiness metrics, and issue resolution plans.
  • Secure timely and complete process capability documentation from suppliers—including PFD (Process Flow Diagram), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), PCP (Process Control Plan), and tool and gage plans—to validate manufacturing process readiness.
  • Drive required process capability standards with suppliers to ensure consistent, reliable, and successful manufacturing readiness for all assigned hardware.
