About The Position
American Appliance Products, LLC is seeking a Senior Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineer to join our Newport, Tennessee team. This role is critical in driving the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, build-to-specification products that support our manufacturing operations. We are looking for a hands-on engineering professional with a strong technical foundation and real-world experience in product and/or process engineering. This position offers a defined development pathway into a leadership role, making it an excellent opportunity for a mid-career engineer ready to grow into engineering management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Strong foundational engineering background with demonstrated technical capability
- Experience in product and/or process engineering (early career experience acceptable with strong hands-on exposure)
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects or small teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and machining processes
- Background in a manufacturing or industrial production environment
- Proven ability to deliver engineered products built to specification
- Experience mentoring or leading engineers in a team setting
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects from concept through production, ensuring products meet customer and internal specifications
- Apply hands-on experience in product and process engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Partner with production teams to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and maintain high quality standards
- Provide leadership and direction to small teams of engineers and technical staff
- Support troubleshooting efforts, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, and supply chain
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with company goals
