About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing is responsible for designing fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing aids that support production operations. This role drives process improvements, automation initiatives, equipment optimization, and resolution of manufacturing challenges by partnering closely with Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience designing fixtures, tooling, production equipment, and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in aerospace, medical device, automotive, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with automation, robotics, machine vision, and equipment integration.
• Project management experience from concept through implementation.
• Knowledge of process validation and manufacturing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering support in a production environment to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and technical issues.
• Design, develop, test, and implement electroplating fixtures, tooling, and part-handling equipment.
• Maintain configuration control systems and documentation for fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing aids.
• Develop preventive maintenance recommendations to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
• Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to investigate nonconformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions while ensuring compliance with customer approval requirements.
• Create and maintain work instructions, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Train production associates on new processes, equipment, and best practices.
• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and process capability.
• Support automation, robotics, material handling, and equipment improvement projects.
• Research and implement new manufacturing technologies and engineering solutions.
• Manage multiple engineering projects while effectively communicating project status, risks, and results.
