About The Position

The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports the daily production and test environment for ZOLL Medical products. The role includes manufacturing and test support, process and yield improvements, floor layout, process definition, and documentation. It requires competent use of general-purpose and advanced laboratory equipment, methods, and practices. The technician generally works with limited supervision from manufacturing engineering personnel and may or may not have direct or indirect reports.

ZOLL’s Acute Care Technology division develops and delivers lifesaving products and software solutions for EMS, hospital, public safety, and military customers worldwide. Its products include AEDs, trauma kits, ventilators, and temperature management solutions.

Requirements

• High school degree with experience in electronics, a Vocational/Technical degree, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of direct floor-support experience in an electromechanical or electronics assembly and test environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and operating automated production equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot to the component level and rework PCB assemblies with surface-mount and through-hole components.
• Ability to read and work with technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with operation in an ISO-9000 and Lean Manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with common PC-based applications such as Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• Familiarity with FDA QSR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily production support for problems involving production tooling, capital equipment, and test fixtures.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing failures and conduct laboratory activities to support root cause analysis and identify corrective actions alongside yield-improvement activities.
• Assist with process development and improvement.
• Support implementation and validation of process and product documentation.
• Develop and implement tooling and fixturing for the Manufacturing department.
• Support and implement Preventive Maintenance and Calibration programs.
