Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Onsite)

RTXRome, NY
$86,800 - $165,200Onsite

About The Position

This role provides advanced engineering support for the IGT VS production cell with a strong emphasis on tool design, tool monitoring, and sustaining multiple special processes. Due to the complexity of the components and the criticality of the special processes involved, this position requires an experienced engineer capable of operating with high autonomy and technical depth. The Manufacturing Engineer serves as the technical lead and primary point of contact for real‑time production issue resolution, new process development, tooling and process optimization, industrial controls troubleshooting (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA), and capital project definition and execution. This engineer provides cross‑cell and cross‑functional expertise, influencing process strategy and ensuring alignment with long‑term operational and product requirements. This role is essential to supporting production of critical flight‑safety hardware, enabling operations to meet and exceed safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) expectations. The engineer drives improvements in process capability, equipment reliability, tool life management, and long‑term manufacturability, directly reducing operational risk and enabling future capacity, technology upgrades, and business growth.
