Senior Managing Director- Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting (CFO Services)
About The Position
The Senior Managing Director serves as the primary client lead for private equity and hedge fund accounting within CFO Services. The role builds and maintains strong client relationships while overseeing teams that deliver accurate and timely financial, accounting, and advisory services. It provides clients with guidance on accounting principles and processes and combines leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration to support client success and departmental growth. The position oversees audits, tax filings, NAV reporting, and fee calculations, and manages onboarding, cash management, budgeting, and advisory services. It supervises and mentors staff, supports operational improvements, contributes to department leadership, and participates in meetings and training initiatives. The salary range is $200,000–$250,000, dependent on experience and location.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in the alternative investment management industry, including hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, and real estate.
- BSBA in accounting.
- Licensed CPA.
- Deep expertise in fund accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong management and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple client engagements with attention to detail, multitasking, and effective communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Bill.com, Expensify, NetSuite, and Sage.
