About The Position
Provide outsourced CFO support to hedge fund and private equity clients, overseeing financial operations, reporting, accounting practices, and fund management activities. The role involves collaborating with clients and service providers, reviewing fund accounting and investor reporting, preparing financial statements, and delivering financial analysis and modeling. It also supports client onboarding and identifies improvements to accounting processes and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- At least 4 years of experience in the alternative investment management industry.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment as a dedicated, punctual, personable self-starter.
Nice To Haves
- CPA designation.
- Public accounting experience.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, OpenAir, Bill.com, and Expensify.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outsourced CFO services to hedge funds and private equity funds.
- Liaise with auditors, administrators, HR and payroll teams, and other service providers.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to provide daily operational support and participate in ad hoc projects.
- Perform financial modeling and analysis.
- Review NAVs, allocations, investor statements, reconciliations, expense schedules, management fee calculations, and incentive allocations for accuracy.
- Prepare fund and management company financial statements.
- Maintain accounting practices, research accounting principles, and advise clients on improvements.
- Coordinate client onboarding activities, including opening brokerage and bank accounts.
- Arrange and participate in regular conference calls to support client engagements.
