About The Position

Vertiv is seeking an experienced manufacturing operations professional to lead integrated operational planning in support of hyperscale growth. The role works across Operations to translate customer demand into manufacturing footprint, capacity, supply-chain, investment, and product-readiness plans. It coordinates cross-functional work to bring new factories, production lines, capacity expansions, and product builds online in alignment with customer deployment requirements. Early engagement in pre-sales strengthens the operational feasibility of customer commitments and builds confidence in Vertiv’s ability to execute at scale. The position leads planning for manufacturing footprint, capacity, and investment; validates operational feasibility during pre-sales; coordinates product and manufacturing readiness; integrates supply-chain readiness; and leads cross-functional planning. It maintains visibility into assumptions, risks, dependencies, decisions, and ownership, and supports customer and executive reviews involving capacity, footprint, investment, or operational readiness. Travel is 10%. No special physical requirements are listed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering/Technology, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10–15 years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, and plant-level execution.
  • Experience in large-scale capital expenditure deployments supporting new manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in New Product Development and Introduction from a manufacturing-readiness perspective.
  • Proven ability to work directly with external customers in a planning, readiness, or account-management capacity.
  • Experience in manufacturing capacity planning, footprint strategy, or operational planning in a multi-site, multi-region environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to develop capacity models, scenario analyses, and operational feasibility assessments.
  • Knowledge of supply-chain dynamics, supplier readiness, and material risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent Operations credibly in customer-facing settings.
  • Cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to influence and coordinate across Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacturing without direct authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the critical infrastructure, data center, or power and thermal management industry.
  • Lean Six Sigma or continuous-improvement background.

Responsibilities

  • Translate hyperscale demand requirements into manufacturing capacity and supply-chain strategies across plants, regions, products, and suppliers.
  • Recommend how and where demand should be supported, including through new factories, production lines, expansions, and product transfers.
  • Coordinate plans to bring new capacity online and track readiness against customer deployment requirements.
  • Frame capacity gaps, constraints, investment needs, and key decision points for leadership.
  • Translate customer demand signals, deployment schedules, and growth projections into manufacturing operations plans.
  • Validate operational feasibility and assumptions supporting commercial proposals.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing capacity plans aligned with hyperscale customer demand across plants, regions, and product lines.
  • Coordinate manufacturing cost assumptions, including make-buy strategy, labor, line setup, overhead, and capital requirements.
  • Coordinate the operational introduction of products into new or expanded manufacturing locations.
  • Integrate plant qualification, manufacturing process, tooling, labor, quality, and product-readiness requirements.
  • Align first builds, testing milestones, production ramp, and readiness for scaled manufacturing.
  • Ensure functional owners have clear deliverables, timing, dependencies, and decision points.
  • Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain to establish sourcing strategies required to support planned volume.
  • Assess supplier capacity, long-lead materials, source maturity, and critical supply risks.
  • Integrate supply readiness into the overall operational footprint and capacity plan, and ensure unresolved supply constraints are visible before operational commitments are finalized.
  • Lead the integrated operations-planning cadence across traditional Operations functions.
  • Maintain visibility to assumptions, risks, dependencies, decisions, and functional ownership.
  • Influence functional teams while preserving their subject-matter and execution accountability.
  • Support customer and executive reviews involving capacity, footprint, investment, or operational readiness.
