About The Position

The Senior Manager, Trade Show and Event Marketing is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of large-scale, multi-channel marketing and event initiatives that advance organizational objectives and enhance brand reputation. This role oversees cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners- including government, diplomatic, and military entities—to deliver impactful programs. The Senior Manager manages substantial budgets and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective outcomes and high-quality service delivery. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and protocols for event operations, integrating industry best practices, and driving stakeholder engagement through effective communication strategies. The role also monitors program performance, analyzes data, and reports on ROI to support ongoing innovation and organizational success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing, event management, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, multi-channel campaigns and events, ideally in the technology, information, and media sector.
  • Experience managing complex budgets and negotiating with external vendors or partners.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current marketing and event industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong proficiency with marketing automation platforms, event management software, and analytics tools.
  • Ability to analyze campaign/event performance and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Advanced project management skills, with the ability to oversee concurrent projects and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities; adept at presenting to senior leadership and engaging high-level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams, drive strategic initiatives, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning and execution of large-scale, multi-channel marketing and event initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners, including government, diplomatic, and military entities.
  • Manage substantial budgets (up to $1M+), ensuring cost-effective allocation and vendor performance to meet program goals.
  • Develop, implement, and refine policies and protocols for event operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Select and negotiate with vendors, contractors, and venues, maintaining high standards and value for investment.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, integrating best practices and innovations to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and communication strategies to maximize event impact and brand visibility.
  • Evaluate program outcomes and report on ROI, utilizing data-driven insights to inform future initiatives and continuous improvement.
