About The Position

This role will lead the strategy, design, and administration of See’s Candies global benefits programs. You’ll ensure our offerings remain competitive, inclusive, cost-effective, and aligned with our values, supporting families at every stage of life. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in benefits, wellness, and recognition strategies, as well as strong analytical and communication skills. This role has two direct reports and requires domestic travel as necessary. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $165,000- $185,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; equivalent related work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in total rewards management with a focus on benefits and wellness programs.
  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, affecting compensation and benefits programs.
  • Experience utilizing HRIS/HCM systems; experience with Workday experience a strong plus!
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make recommendations.
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Exceptional professionalism and ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Highest level customer service to both internal and external client groups.
  • Strong results orientation and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively and in a positive manner.

Nice To Haves

  • HR industry related certification(s) like Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation Certified Senior Rewards Professional (CSRP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) preferred.
  • Experience with benefits administration, including health and welfare plans, retirement programs, and wellness initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer components of total compensation, including but not limited to employee benefits, salaries and bonus programs, and long- and short-term incentive programs at all levels.
  • Identify areas of opportunity within current benefits programs and plans; develop, evaluate, improve and communicate methods and techniques for compensating employees.
  • Partner with Senior Leadership to develop and roll out incentive & wellness programs that motivate, engage and attract talent in the workforce.
  • Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and market trends to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices in total rewards management.
  • Research, analyze and establish salary ranges and wages for management and administrative positions.
  • Partner with Senior Leadership to facilitate annual merit increases and bonus programs; create compensation targets for new or replacement positions.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to both benefit and compensation programs and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Partner with MIS to implement information systems compensation and benefits program, including future upgrades.
  • Lead change management efforts related to total rewards initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption across the organization.
  • Oversee the operations, legal compliance, and communication of the Company’s group benefits and wellness programs.
  • Develop and deliver communication and education initiatives to help employees understand and appreciate the value of their total rewards package.
  • Provide oversight to our insurance partners, brokers and carriers to ensure quality plan service and administration.
  • Oversee relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers to support the delivery of total rewards programs and services.
  • Use strong project management skills to oversee all aspects of benefits renewals, vendor changes, wellness programs/events.
  • Coordinate and lead roll out of annual open enrollment to include communications, documentation, events and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, ensuring timeliness and accuracy for all required reporting, filing and notifications (EEO-1, 1095-C, 5500, NDT, etc.).
  • Make recommendations regarding compensation program and benefit plan development.
  • Identify and research changing benefits & compensation laws and provide recommendations on next actions.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on all benefit & compensation matters.
  • Performs special projects as assigned by management.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance technology and innovation that will improve departmental effectiveness.
