About The Position

Walmart’s Item Experience & Content Strategy organization is looking for a strategic and action-oriented leader to shape how hundreds of millions of customers discover, browse, and shop online. As the Senior Manager of Trend Intelligence on the Social Commerce team, you will lead the strategic management, automation, and delivery of initiatives that turn trend and social signals into actionable insights and customer experiences. This is a highly cross-functional, high-impact opportunity to scale Walmart's Trend Hub, leveraging social data pipelines to influence the end-to-end customer journey on Walmart.com. About the team: Walmart is redefining the ways we discover and shop by blending content, culture, and commerce. The Social Commerce team helps power this transformation by building cutting-edge experiences on-site, enabling new sources for rich content, leveraging creator and community-led insight, and scaling trend intelligence across the enterprise. Alongside our Item Experience and Content Strategy teammates, we aim to make Walmart the most insightful, engaging, and effortless place to shop.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 5 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • OR 7 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 4 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Define Walmart’s trend-understanding, owning the data pipeline from social signals to centralized insight.
  • Manage relationships with data providers, evaluate emerging sources, lead partner negotiations, and drive integration prioritization for Trend Hub.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to refine trend-understanding logic, enhance internal dashboards, and maximize insight visibility.
  • Collaborate across Walmart to integrate trends into various org/team workflows, helping stakeholders build trend-informed features that elevate customer experiences.
  • Leverage data analysis/modeling to handle large datasets, validate logic, and turn raw data into recommendations.
  • Develop business cases and roadmaps to pitch ideas, influence priority, and secure buy-in from leadership.
  • Turn ambiguous challenges into actionable playbooks, long-term strategy, and automation.
