About The Position

The Senior Manager, Global Tech Talent Acquisition leads hiring strategy and delivery across multiple U.S.-based Engineering and Data Science organizations. Based in Bentonville, this leader partners directly with senior technical executives to translate workforce priorities into structured, forward-looking hiring plans that drive speed, quality, and long-term technical capability. This role combines strategic advisory impact with disciplined execution. You will lead and develop a team of Talent Acquisition Associates while building programmatic recruiting models that improve predictability, performance, and hiring quality. Through rigorous analytics and market intelligence, you will diagnose hiring risks, model trade-offs, and guide leaders toward informed, data-backed decisions. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, analytical depth, executive presence, and the ability to scale complex engineering and data science hiring in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The Walmart Global Tech Talent Acquisition team drives strategic hiring across U.S.-based Engineering and Data Science organizations. Based in Bentonville, the team partners closely with senior technical leaders to translate workforce priorities into disciplined, data-driven hiring strategies. Operating with strong analytical rigor and structured recruiting practices, the team takes a forward-looking approach to workforce planning — anticipating skill needs, aligning to evolving technical priorities, and building sustainable pipelines across software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure, and AI/ML domains. They focus on predictable delivery, hiring quality, and long-term technical capability to ensure talent strategy directly supports business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success leading strategic technical hiring across technical Engineering & Data Science organizations.
  • Direct people leadership experience managing and developing Talent Acquisition Associates or recruiters.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience translating recruiting data into actionable business insight.
  • Experience advising senior technical leaders on workforce planning, market feasibility, and hiring strategy.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering, platform, and AI/ML talent markets.
  • Proven ability to build scalable, repeatable recruiting programs in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and guide data-backed decisions.
  • Operational discipline and experience implementing structured recruiting frameworks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related area and 3 years’ experience in human resources, talent acquisition, or related area.
  • OR 5 years’ experience in human resources, talent acquisition, or related area.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
