About The Position

RBC Insurance’s Supplier Management team is seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Manager to elevate our third-party risk and supplier governance programs. This role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful change, optimize processes, and deliver impactful solutions that enhance RBC Insurance’s operational risk resilience. You will collaborate with senior leadership to develop methodologies and deliver efficiencies while leveraging data insights to create and publish executive-level reporting. In this role, you will spearhead transformational initiatives to optimize supplier risk management practices, ensure control assurance, and drive regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in supplier risk, operational risk, third-party governance, and/or transformation initiatives
  • Formal supplier management certifications or designations
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., OSFI B-10) and third-party risk methodologies
  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives from concept to completion
  • Exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement, persuasion, and presenting to senior leadership
  • Expertise in data management, analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) and SRMA platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Archer and iValua
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry
  • Formal training in organizational change management or process reengineering
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance efficiency, analyze data, and drive innovation in [specific area, e.g., decision-making, process automation, or dashboards]

Responsibilities

  • Lead Transformation Initiatives: Enhance risk management practices, regulatory compliance, and process automation to drive operational excellence.
  • Champion Change Management: Develop and execute stakeholder communication, training, and adoption strategies to support transformation efforts.
  • Strategic Execution: Plan and implement supplier risk mitigation strategies, compliance automation, and process optimization.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with global teams to provide cross-regional support, fostering adherence to risk management best practices through effective communication and influence.
  • Data Insights & Reporting: Generate executive-level reports on risk trends, compliance status, spend analytics, and performance metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Conduct regular Insurance portfolio assessments, establish health metrics and dashboards, and provide executive reporting on supplier performance, risk exposure, and strategic opportunities.
  • Lead communication and training initiatives on supplier management programs and policies across Insurance.
  • Identify process improvements, implement efficiency measures, and establish KPIs to enhance Insurance supplier management effectiveness.
