About The Position

The Power Segment Strategy team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager, Strategy & Transformation to help shape the long-term strategy, growth priorities, and transformation agenda for GE Vernova’s global Power segment. Experience in product management, management consulting, investment banking, climate tech, AI, or startup ecosystems is highly desired.

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to independently lead complex, cross-functional workstreams from framing through recommendation and execution support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong executive presence and the ability to create clear, compelling materials for senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.
  • Robust network of either internal GEV leaders or external network of energy ecosystem contacts
  • Fluency in English.
  • Deep personal curiosity and experimentation with AI tools, with current perspectives on relevant technology developments and implications for strategy and transformation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the energy, industrials, climate tech, AI, and software sectors.
  • Strong financial modeling and business case development capabilities.
  • Deep familiarity with climate tech ecosystems and current innovation trends in energy and adjacent sectors.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Engineering, or equivalent).
  • Experience with strategy planning processes in large, global organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior executives and influence decisions in complex organizations.
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior team members, whether through formal people leadership or project/team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Power segment’s long-term strategy (LTS) process, including helping shape strategic narratives, market perspectives, growth priorities, and investment themes.
  • Own and drive select strategy workstreams and ad hoc high-priority initiatives, often with broad scope, ambiguity, and senior leadership visibility.
  • Partner with the Strategy Leader and senior business leadership to evaluate portfolio choices, strategic tradeoffs, and growth opportunities.
  • Support segment strategy team’s liaison and collaboration with both corporate strategy/strategic initiatives as well as provide strategic insight and support to business unit-level strategy, as requested
  • Develop and refine executive-level strategy materials, including leadership presentations, decision memos, Board-level content, and other senior stakeholder communications.
  • Build and support financial analyses, business cases, scenario analyses, and strategic options assessments to evaluate growth opportunities, partnerships, and other strategic priorities.
  • Own discrete strategic initiatives or sub-workstreams, including framing problems, structuring analyses, synthesizing findings, and helping drive alignment on recommendations.
  • Support segment BD/M&A, partnership, venture, and startup engagement initiatives in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify, assess, and help advance strategic growth opportunities, including adjacencies, partnerships, inorganic opportunities, and innovation-driven initiatives.
