About The Position

The Tax team is evolving from a traditional compliance and provision function into a data-driven, AI-first operating model. We are building systems where complex tax work is structured, repeatable, scalable, and continuously improved through better data, workflows, and intelligent tooling. This team sits at the intersection of tax technical expertise, operating model design, data systems, and AI-enabled operations. Our goal is to reduce manual work, reduce reliance on institutional knowledge, improve auditability, and create faster, higher-quality tax insights for the business. As a Senior Manager, Tax Operations, you will help build and scale the tax infrastructure supporting complex business tax operations, strategic transactions, and forecasting. This is not a traditional provision or compliance role. Instead of primarily preparing returns or managing external advisors, you will help own and operationalize highly technical tax workstreams that are critical to the company’s growth and long-term scalability. This role is designed for someone who can operate at the intersection of technical federal tax, transaction execution, partnership mechanics, forecasting, and scalable process design. You will help build repeatable frameworks around areas such as consolidation rules, tax attributes, purchase accounting tax impacts, legal entity management, partnership capital account management, and multi-year tax forecasting. This role is ideal for a tax professional who wants to move beyond maintaining existing processes and instead help design the future operating model for complex tax operations. This position is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
