This role drives the development of site customer-focused strategies, monitors team performance and metrics, and incorporates Strategic Supply Chain KPIs into all elements of the plan. The Senior Manager is a recognized subject matter expert on Supply Chain processes, tools, and applications. This position may manage a team of direct and indirect resources to effectively support strategy deployment plans and contributes to multi-functional, regional, or global assignments. The role provides support for material availability to meet build plans throughout the product life cycle for a specific business unit or customer set. It involves designing the supplier portion of the materials supply chain for optimum flexibility with minimum investment, identifying and developing suppliers, reducing material costs, assessing/responding to supply risks, and supporting contracts and agreements. The position also supports the development of delivery requirements, material plans, and short-range capacity plans. It serves as the primary customer interface for Supply Chain Management (SCM) issues, tracks and drives inventory results, and participates in business process improvements to achieve inventory targets and maximize return on investment. The role ensures compliance with customs and regulatory laws, supports freight & logistics optimization, and may directly manage a group of SCM employees, including training, performance management, and development. It establishes department goals and manages resources to achieve them, drives working capital assumptions in the quote process, and leads SCM optimization efforts. The Senior Manager supports new business quotes and ramps for new products as the key corporate stakeholder for the supply chain, acting as the primary customer interface for SCM requirements and solutions. Collaboration with customers on SCM strategies, demand planning, and demand management is key. The role owns the SCM portion for customer QBRs, escalations, and KPI improvement initiatives, leads market teams to optimize working capital, and ensures recovery of contractual claims for SCM-related costs. It leads and prepares responses to customer inquiries, coordinates supplier localization projects, and provides direction and support to site teams on SIOP, GAP inventory reviews, and strategic inventory proposals. The position drives supply chain improvement initiatives with sites and provides coaching and support to cross-functional teams on material pricing, costing, supplier performance, localization strategies, demand/supply support, and continuous improvement. Ultimately, it provides leadership oversight for all SCM-related matters for customer(s).
