About The Position

VERSANT is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Operations to lead project management, workflows, and cross-functional coordination for the Portfolio Marketing team. This role focuses on driving clarity, efficiency, and quality across complex, multi-channel projects, including digital video, on-air, print, CRM, paid social, and digital design. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, understands various marketing formats, and is an expert in project management software and theory. This position is responsible for overseeing the marketing workflow process, including project tracking, client and vendor communications, resource management, reporting, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget, significantly influencing business outcomes. The role supports all verticals, brands, and groups within the Versant Digital Platforms & Ventures division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferably in Marketing, Sales, Project Management or Communications.
  • 3+ years of project management experience, preferably within advertising, printer/reprographics business, production, digital & customer service-oriented environments.
  • Proficient with project management tools a must, experience with Asana a plus.
  • Knowledge of print productions & production estimating (i.e. off-set, digital techniques, silkscreen, large format, embroidery, industrial etc).
  • Mac OS skills and knowledge of Adobe Creative suite, typing & math skills with a command of Word & Excel.
  • Understanding of marketing, branding, and consumer psychology.
  • Willingness to work a hybrid 3-day schedule in a hub office.
  • Consistent, regular, and punctual attendance required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the project management tool (Asana) application and strategy, including workflow creation and upkeep, goal mapping, workload management, template building, and reporting.
  • Establish team goal mapping structure tied to actual project work to showcase real-time progress to goals and give leadership visibility into key initiatives.
  • Work with CDs to ensure project team time logging to garner insights, plan ahead more precisely, and improve team efficiency and consistency.
  • Build and maintain all project templates, task lists, automations, and rule bundles.
  • Ensure visibility across all active projects, tracking status, timelines, and other key factors for a true snapshot of all work in progress at multiple levels; seek out additional enhancements via platforms such as Tableau and Power Bi for smarter decision making.
  • Build and foster bonds with key platform account owners that integrate with Asana, including JIRA, Salesforce, etc., as well as cross-functionality partnership with all teams to increase adoption, prioritize work, and set process standards with all DPV teams.
  • Stay on top of trends and new AI features that can be harnessed to enhance efficiency and speed to market.
  • Create documentation and maintain project management tool best practices for all.
  • Address workflow and process pain points ad hoc as requested by marketing teams.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions.
  • Drive adoption of best practices across teams.
  • Lead ongoing training sessions and host office hours for new and existing employees.
  • Effectively manage the Representative of Strategic Operations, whose main responsibility is creating and maintaining print and premium item vendor relations to place orders on behalf of stakeholders.
  • Establish new vendor setups.
  • Oversee invoicing for Creative team operations.
