Director, Strategic Marketing Operations

NVIDIASanta Clara, CA
$232,000 - $460,000

About The Position

NVIDIA is looking for a Director of Strategic Marketing Operations to serve as the operational right hand to the Chief Marketing Officer. This is a high-velocity, high-impact role for someone who can manage a constant stream of incoming priorities and turn them into clear, executable plans. You will serve as both a senior ops lead and Chief of Staff. Your role is to keep the marketing organization active, aligned, engaged, and moving at the rapid pace NVIDIA requires.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of demonstrated experience overall, including more than 5 years serving as Chief of Staff and leadership experience in strategy, business operations, or senior leadership positions.
  • Bachelors, and Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of operating successfully in warp speed, highly ambiguous, hyper-growth, and deeply technical environments.
  • Willingness to adapt quickly and learn new skills; eager to dive in and architect new operational capabilities while leading collaborative initiatives across departments.
  • Deep AI proficiency, with hands-on experience building agentic workflows (e.g., using Codex, Claude, Gemini Enterprise or custom LLM frameworks) to automate complex business processes.
  • Familiarity with AI Infrastructure and tech ecosystems.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill technical concepts into compelling executive narratives.
  • A master collaborator who can influence without authority, build trust, and manage conflicting priorities with grace.

Nice To Haves

  • A background that blends technical literacy (e.g., former engineer or technical PM) with a sharp instinct for brand, storytelling, and market positioning.
  • An obsession with operational design—someone who views "process" not as bureaucracy, but as a way to liberate creativity and speed.
  • An ability to bring happiness and laughter to intense work environments.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the operational rhythm for the Marketing and Corporate Communications Leadership Staff, including leadership syncs, reviews, and decision forums.
  • Represent the CMO in high-level cross-functional meetings, synthesizing complex discussions into actionable briefs and driving follow-through.
  • Propose and align process improvements that accelerate the mission.
  • Ensure tight operational alignment between Marketing and cross-functional teams including Engineering, Research, Product, Go-to-Market, Finance, and HR teams.
  • Spearhead ambiguous, high-priority, or sensitive initiatives that fall between traditional team boundaries, incubating them until they can be handed off to a permanent owner.
  • Improve organizational alignment by removing inter-team roadblocks, process bottlenecks, and strategic disconnects.
  • Facilitate executive participation, speaking opportunities, and executive thought leadership/social media at external forums to amplify NVIDIA's vision and market presence.
  • Advocate for the internal embrace of generative AI tools and automated workflows within the marketing organization to consistently increase output and efficiency.
