About The Position

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead multiple software development teams responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-class solutions for material handling and automation systems. The role provides strategic leadership through Software Engineering Managers and technical leaders, overseeing engineers who develop scalable .NET applications integrated with warehouse execution systems, robotics, AS/RS solutions, sortation systems, customer systems, and third-party platforms. The Senior Manager will guide software architecture and development, establish engineering standards and delivery practices, and oversee execution across concurrent projects while balancing quality, scope, schedule, and budget. The position also includes developing and retaining engineering talent, coordinating software development lifecycle activities, monitoring resources and project performance, and partnering with engineering and business stakeholders on technical roadmaps and solution strategies. Travel expectations are up to 15%.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
10+ years of software engineering experience designing and developing enterprise software applications.
7+ years of people leadership experience managing software development teams and engineering leaders.
Proven experience leading large-scale .NET development organizations.
Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and enterprise application development.
Experience managing multiple projects and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong experience with C#, Microsoft .NET Framework/.NET technologies, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, Windows Services, and object-oriented programming.
Strong experience with SQL Server and relational databases.
Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and LINQ.
Strong experience with MVC and MVVM architectural patterns.
Strong experience with software testing, debugging, and quality assurance methodologies.
Strong experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.
