About The Position

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead multiple software development teams responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-class solutions for material handling and automation systems. The role provides strategic leadership through Software Engineering Managers and technical leaders, guiding teams that develop scalable .NET applications integrating with warehouse execution systems, robotics, AS/RS solutions, sortation systems, and third-party platforms. The Senior Manager establishes engineering standards and delivery practices, oversees software architecture and the software development lifecycle, and drives execution across concurrent projects while balancing quality, scope, schedules, and budgets. The role partners with engineering and business stakeholders on technical roadmaps, ensures systems integrate with customer and third-party platforms, and develops engineering talent through hiring, coaching, retention, career development, and succession planning. Travel is up to 15%.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
10+ years of software engineering experience designing and developing enterprise software applications.
7+ years of people leadership experience managing software development teams and engineering leaders.
Proven experience leading large-scale .NET development organizations.
Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and enterprise application development.
Experience managing multiple projects and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong experience with C#; Microsoft .NET Framework/.NET technologies; ASP.NET MVC; Entity Framework; Windows Services; object-oriented programming; SQL Server and relational databases; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and LINQ; MVC and MVVM architectural patterns; software testing, debugging, and quality assurance methodologies; and SDLC best practices.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and business acumen, people leadership and coaching skills, communication and stakeholder management abilities, confidence leading large cross-functional initiatives, a collaborative and customer-focused mindset, and ability to influence organizational and technical direction.
