About The Position

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead multiple software development teams responsible for enterprise-class software supporting material handling and automation systems. The role leads Software Engineering Managers and software engineers developing scalable .NET applications integrated with warehouse execution systems, robotics, AS/RS solutions, sortation systems, customer systems, and third-party platforms. The position provides strategic and technical leadership, oversees software architecture and delivery, and builds a high-performing engineering organization focused on innovation, quality, and customer impact. Travel is up to 15%.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
10+ years of software engineering experience designing and developing enterprise software applications.
7+ years of people leadership experience managing software development teams and engineering leaders.
Proven experience leading large-scale .NET development organizations.
Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and enterprise application development.
Experience managing multiple projects and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong experience with C#; Microsoft .NET Framework/.NET technologies; ASP.NET MVC; Entity Framework; Windows Services; object-oriented programming; SQL Server and relational databases; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and LINQ; MVC and MVVM architectural patterns; software testing, debugging, and quality assurance methodologies; and SDLC best practices.
Strategic thinking and business acumen; strong people leadership and coaching skills; excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities; confidence leading large cross-functional engineering initiatives; a collaborative, customer-focused mindset; and ability to influence organizational and technical direction.

Nice To Haves

Experience with warehouse automation and material handling systems, including robotics, AS/RS, conveyance, sortation, or fulfillment technologies.
Experience with Oracle databases.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop multiple software engineering teams through Software Engineering Managers and technical leaders.
Establish engineering best practices, development standards, and software delivery processes.
Drive execution across concurrent projects while balancing quality, scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
Foster innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Guide the design and development of enterprise software solutions using the Microsoft .NET technology stack.
Provide technical oversight for software architecture, application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and solution strategies.
Ensure software solutions integrate with customer systems and third-party applications.
Recruit, mentor, coach, and retain engineering talent; support career development and succession planning.
Oversee SDLC activities, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Drive adherence to coding standards, documentation requirements, quality processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor project performance and resource allocation across programs and teams.
Perform duties in a professional and personable manner when interacting with employees, customers, vendors, competitors, and visitors.
