About The Position

Walmart is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of Walmart US SAP Payroll systems, with a strong focus on SAP HCM Payroll and related HR technologies. The ideal candidate brings 20+ years of SAP functional and HR ABAP technical hands-on expertise, combined with proven leadership in large-scale enterprise payroll transformations, system modernization, and cloud adoption strategies. This leader will guide engineering teams, collaborate with HR/payroll business stakeholders, ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, and deliver high-quality, highly scalable payroll solutions for one of the world’s largest workforces.

Requirements

  • An engineering manager should have a strong member centric viewpoint, they should be enabling their teams by looking at the product from the eyes of a member.
  • They should be looking for ways to improve the product and come up with ways along with the technical experts on their team to execute on this vision.
  • Strong focus on SAP HCM Payroll and related HR technologies.
  • The ideal candidate brings 20+ years of SAP functional and technical expertise, combined with proven leadership in large-scale enterprise payroll transformations, system modernization, and cloud adoption strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
