About The Position

In this vital role, the Payroll Systems Manager will lead the payroll team and provide technical leadership on HRIS systems for payroll operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processes through software systems from timekeeping to accounting and all related payroll reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze, improve, and update end-to-end timekeeping and payroll workflows by understanding business needs and collaborating with HR and finance teams.
• Supervise and prepare the payroll process with the team to ensure a timely and accurate biweekly payroll from time entry to completion of funding.
• Review configurations affecting payroll and tests payroll/timekeeping functionality. Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and risk reduction; implement best practices and continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with software vendors and HR teams to troubleshoot and resolve system performance gaps and payroll related issues.
• Run and review audit reports to ensure accuracy of payroll data.
• Participate in audits, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
• Manage all payroll data related to journal entry preparation, accruals, expense etc.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and to streamline work processes.
• Manage payroll related year end processes, i.e., closing payroll year, finalizing W2 etc.
• Support the CFO and other Finance leadership in completion of business-critical activities about payroll data.
