About The Position

The Sr. Manager, Social Strategy owns the Nordstrom & Beauty social strategies end-to-end, coordinating organic strategy across all channels. This role is accountable to all enterprise KPIs like growth, engagement, share of voice and brand health – consistently delivering on strategies and tactics to achieve the set objectives. As a trusted social partner, this role collaborates deeply with the Brand, PR, Site, Media, Search, Merch, and Marketing leadership to oversee both campaign-driven and always-on content strategy. Success requires deep social strategy and platform expertise, editorial judgment, people leadership, and the ability to scale high velocity, high-volume, and high-quality content across an enterprise portfolio. This is a high visibility role within Nordstrom’s marketing team, with the opportunity to make real impact and have a lot of fun. Candidates must be available to work in office at the Nordstrom corporate headquarters a minimum of 4 days/week to be considered for this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
  • 8–12 years of social media marketing and strategy experience, including team leadership at an enterprise or large portfolio brand
  • Native fluency across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, and others – knowing what customers want to see in feed and optimizing for performance
  • Deep experience with scheduling tools like Sprout and AI-assisted social listening like Nectar, GWI, Archive, Brandwatch.
  • Knowledge of social platform reporting, with the expertise to guide teams on the right KPIs, benchmarks, and success
  • Strong brief-writing and editorial planning craft
  • Proven track record producing high-velocity, high-volume content at scale

Responsibilities

  • Own Nordstrom & Beauty social strategy end-to-end – editorial point of view, content tiers, platform priorities, and brand expression across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, Substack, and any other channels
  • Coordinate organic strategy across all banners (Nordstrom, Beauty, Rack) to ensure portfolio coherence and shared learnings
  • Drive performance creative strategy in partnership with paid social leadership
  • Discern which trends to author – not just find them, but filter the social listening signal surfaced by the JWN Community & Commerce Lead and banner Community Leads into a selective trend agenda that our Content Creators execute against
  • Own the strategic social KPI portfolio – growth, engagement, share of voice and brand health. You’re the most accountable to delivering on these metrics — and owning them excites you
  • Build and develop a high-performing Brand Social team, with a culture of trust, craft, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with PR, Site, Search, Merch, and Marketing leadership to align social to broader brand and commercial priorities.
  • Drive editorial planning and brief-writing, collaborating closely with all of our agency partners to ensure they deliver the outcomes we’ve identified
  • Identify and scale emerging platform opportunities, formats, and AI tooling to keep our portfolio looking ahead
