Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and/or University degree is required, with a focus in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a related, professional environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Experience managing capital project portfolios and budgets, including investment planning and governance.
  • Working knowledge of regulated manufacturing expectations (e.g., validation, audit readiness, documentation discipline).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across functions and sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Experience owning/leading site asset management and maintenance KPI programs.
  • Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) in a 24/7 operation.
  • Program/project management experience across a complex engineering portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Set the site engineering vision, roadmap and lead a multi-disciplinary campus organization (cross-functional engineering, MES systems, Asset Management, and program/project management; ~51 colleagues), building capability, engagement, and a high-performance culture.
  • Serve as the primary engineering and project partner for multiple business units across two manufacturing facilities, aligning technical priorities to safety, quality, service, and cost objectives.
  • Drive organizational—evolving structure, roles, and ways of working (including integration/merging of engineering functions where beneficial) to accelerate decision-making, execution, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Own the site capital and appropriation expense budgets, setting investment strategy, prioritizing the portfolio, and ensuring disciplined governance and financial accountability.
  • Lead end-to-end execution of the engineering project portfolio, delivering compliant, right-first-time results through strong scope control, risk management, and schedule/cost performance.
  • Own the site asset management strategy—strengthening reliability, preventive maintenance, lifecycle planning, and KPI performance through continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
  • Own the site validation program and inspection readiness, ensuring robust documentation, execution discipline, and sustained audit readiness (“front-room” readiness).
  • Ensure strong operational support by leading investigations and resolution of manufacturing nonconformances, troubleshooting equipment/automation issues, and sustaining critical MES systems to protect safety, quality, and throughput.
