About The Position

In this role, you will start your day on the production floor, collaborating with Engineering, Maintenance, and Process Control leads to review overnight performance and prioritize maintenance, reliability, and process capability for extrusion lines. Before lunch, you will finalize CAR submissions and align capital plans with AOP targets. Afternoons involve cross-functional meetings with Operations and EHS to focus on waste reduction, environmental compliance, and safety. The day concludes with mentoring engineers, approving maintenance material expenditures, and planning continuous improvement initiatives (kaizen) for uptime and yield. Novolex manufactures food, beverage, and specialty packaging across various markets, offering a wide range of products and brands. Requirements

  • BA/BS in Engineering preferred.
  • 6+ years in engineering with proven project/process management.
  • 3+ years supervising teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability across technical systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced, shifting environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, and MRP systems.
  • Track record leading cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end leadership of Engineering, Maintenance, and Process Control to maximize production output while meeting cost targets.
  • Ownership of plant capital planning and execution: identify opportunities, submit CARs, coordinate projects, and manage capital and engineering expense budgets.
  • Ensure facilities and production assets are maintained for safety, reliability, and quality performance.
  • Provide engineering resources to sustain and improve daily production.
  • Champion manufacturing and technical initiatives; coordinate communication and change management.
  • Manage the AOP budget for technical teams, building and grounds, maintenance materials, and utilities.
  • Meet site environmental compliance requirements and support plant safety programs.
  • Hire, develop, coach, and performance-manage a high-performing technical team.
