About The Position

Our Commissions Operation Manager will be responsible for leading Veritiv’s sales/forecasting processes and pipeline health analytics for the commercial organization. This role partners closely with Sales Leadership, Finance, and Marketing to ensure accurate revenue forecasting, strong pipeline coverage, and data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making. Requirements

  • Strong experience in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue analytics.
  • Proven experience with Advanced Salesforce reporting and analytics experience.
  • Manage complex analytics to review trends, process and organizational change impacts.
  • Experience building dashboards and executive reporting
  • 5-10 years of related job experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
  • Experienced in strategic management and leadership across company functions directing substantial resources over long time frames.
  • Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
  • Strong planning and organization skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large commercial or enterprise sales organizations preferred.
  • Experience with BI tools or analytics platforms preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop forecasting models that improve predictability and reduce variance.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy and implement improvements to forecasting discipline.
  • Monitor pipeline health metrics including pipeline coverage, stage conversion, aging, and win rates.
  • Build dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into pipeline performance across regions, segments, and sales teams.
  • Analyze opportunity performance including win rates, deal size trends, and cycle times.
  • Deliver executive-ready reporting on sales forecast outlook, pipeline quality, and sales performance trends.
  • Provide strategic insights that support CRO, Finance, and executive leadership decision making.
  • Design scalable reporting frameworks within Salesforce and supporting analytics tools.
  • Manage all commission processing, controls and compensation profile changes, approvals, validations and escalations.
  • Develop best practices for review of compensation approach, communication, customer assignments, and metrics.
  • Model and analyze performance for Sales Managers/Directors, GMs, RVPs, Segment VPs.
  • Subject matter expert for commission, commission related processes and policies, and related systems.
  • Participate in development and testing of system modifications, data quality and calculation integrity relating to commission operations, sales organization reporting.
  • Analyze and manage field-controlled sales compensation calculations, insuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers/Directors, GMs, RVPs, Segment VPs and HR leadership to review effectiveness of sales compensation plans and necessary analysis in accordance with cycle requirements.
