About The Position

The Senior Manager, Sales Finance & FP&A is a senior finance leader embedded with the commercial organization. The role connects customer strategy, Revenue Growth Management, demand planning, digital commerce, business-unit priorities, and enterprise financial objectives to improve decision quality and profitable growth. It serves as a strategic thought partner to Sales leadership while maintaining a One RCP financial perspective across customers, channels, categories, and business units. The position turns commercial and operational information into forward-looking financial insight. It leads sales planning and performance analysis; develops customer, product, and channel economics; supports pricing, trade, and investment decisions; strengthens forecast and risk/opportunity visibility; and builds decision products linking demand, pricing, inventory, service, shipments, revenue, margin, and EBITDA. Success is measured by the quality and speed of decisions enabled, rather than reporting volume alone. The role partners with Sales, Business Unit Finance, RGM, Customer Marketing, Category/Insights, Digital, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology. It leads financial partnership for sales planning, forecasts, and latest estimates; develops customer and product profitability views; evaluates pricing and trade investments; supports commercial growth decisions; advances analytics and process improvement; and leads or mentors finance professionals and cross-functional project resources.

  • Partner across Sales, Business Unit Finance, RGM, Customer Marketing, Category/Insights, Digital, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology to translate commercial opportunities and risks into financial choices.
  • Challenge assumptions and frame decisions around revenue, volume, price/mix, trade, contribution margin, EBITDA, cash, capacity, risk, and strategic value.
  • Prepare concise, executive-ready narratives and recommendations for business reviews, customer decisions, investment requests, and risks and opportunities.
  • Lead the financial partnership for annual planning, forecasts, and latest estimates for Sales, translating customer and channel assumptions into enterprise revenue and profit implications.
  • Connect customer plans, Sales forecasts, demand/consensus forecasts, and financial targets; identify material gaps in assumptions, timing, phasing, and risk.
  • Maintain a disciplined commercial risks and opportunities view; quantify and probability-weight proposed actions where appropriate and distinguish them from items already embedded in the forecast.
  • Analyze actual performance against forecast, plan, and prior year using price/volume/mix, trade, customer, channel, and product drivers; identify root causes and actions for the next forecast.
  • Link forecast accuracy to downstream financial and operational outcomes, including inventory, production, service, shipments, working capital, and earnings where relevant.
  • Own commercial-finance requirements and business use of customer and product profitability, including definitions, allocation logic, reconciliations, and management views.
  • Develop customer, product, and channel P&Ls connecting gross sales, allowances, trade, net revenue, cost of goods sold, contribution margin, A&P, and other commercial investments.
  • Identify profit pools, margin leakage, and mix opportunities across customers, channels, branded/private label, and products, and translate findings into commercial actions.
  • Support customer bids, new distribution, assortment changes, and strategic account opportunities with scenario analysis that considers incrementality, cannibalization, cost-to-serve, capacity, cash, and risk.
  • Partner with RGM while preserving RGM ownership of pricing and trade methodology; provide financial inputs, scenario analysis, and P&L translation for enterprise decisions.
  • Evaluate and support pricing actions using commodity/input-cost changes, price realization, pack-price architecture, customer and competitive price gaps, expected elasticity, volume/share response, and margin recovery.
  • Evaluate and support trade and promotional investments using baseline sales, incremental volume, net revenue, margin after trade, ROI/incrementality, cannibalization, customer economics, supply readiness, and forecast treatment.
  • Help establish transparent gross-to-net and trade performance views that separate rate, volume, mix, timing, and execution effects and explain commercial investment's enterprise value.
  • Build financial cases for customer growth, private-label and branded opportunities, innovation, digital commerce, retail media, and strategic commercial investments.
  • Integrate marketplace and retailer signals—including POS/consumption, shipments, customer inventory, distribution, velocity, service, and forecast—with Reynolds financial outcomes.
  • Partner with Digital and Sales teams to evaluate growth through incremental contribution and customer value, rather than attributed revenue alone.
  • Support scenario planning for customer negotiations, pricing changes, trade reallocations, assortment decisions, and commercial initiatives, including upside/downside cases and decision triggers.
  • Act as a business owner or lead Finance partner for commercial decision products, starting with the business question, decision, and required information before defining reporting or technology requirements.
  • Partner with Technology and Data teams to define financial measures, semantic rules, required dimensions, controls, acceptance criteria, and reconciliation standards for commercial analytics.
  • Advance scalable self-service analytics and automation to reduce manual data assembly and increase time spent on analysis, insight generation, and decision support.
  • Use Excel, Power BI, and enterprise planning/reporting platforms to create clear, reusable, governed commercial-finance capabilities; apply advanced analytics or AI where data quality and the business use case support it.
  • Lead or mentor finance professionals and cross-functional project resources through clear priorities, coaching, high standards, and end-to-end ownership.
  • Build stronger financial acumen across commercial partners by making customer economics, trade, pricing, margin, and forecast drivers understandable and actionable.
  • Promote a One RCP mindset by standardizing high-value definitions and decision frameworks while recognizing legitimate differences by business, customer, and channel.
  • Manage multiple high-priority analyses and initiatives with judgment, accuracy, urgency, and stakeholder alignment.
