Senior Manager, Sales & Customer Support
About The Position
The Senior Manager, Sales & Customer Support provides ongoing support to direct reports and customers on a daily basis. This role will lead a team focused on resolving various commercial items and aggressively targeting expansion opportunities within the industrial water market. The position supports the implementation of business strategies and maintains profitable relationships focused on accelerating opportunities, driving funnel growth, team execution, order processing, and new account acquisition. This is a Remote position only if you currently reside in the state of Texas near a major airport. Otherwise, this is an Onsite position based at our location in Goleta, CA (Greater Santa Barbara, CA area). No Visa sponsorships are available for this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a similar field of study
- 8 years’ minimum customer-facing sales experience within a manufacturing environment
- 3 years’ minimum team leadership / team management experience leading direct reports
- Experience developing and implementing customer focused strategies
- Previous experience in filtration (membrane, particle filters, coalescers, etc.)
- Customer driven, organization and coordination skills, self-motivated and ability to deliver in fast-paced, challenging environments
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to travel approximately 30 – 35% (Primarily domestic U.S./ Canada)
- Conflict management skills
- Strong English communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
- Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- CRM experience
- SAP experience

Responsibilities
- Player coach managing accounts and a team consisting of Inside Sales and Customer Service
- Supports the business in strategy execution and implementation of the regional growth plan (prepare a strategic sales plan focused on target accounts and markets, supports order analysis, reviews contracts, prepares and maintains relevant documentation)
- Provide ongoing technical support and ensure high-quality customer service (follow-up of orders, customer visits, prepare and conduct customer presentations)
- Serve as a liaison between the customer and MANN+HUMMEL internal departments, understand customer needs and initiate
- Prepare the price analyses, as well as the operational sales planning
- Prepare and lead price negotiations for new projects and customers
- Support the business with market research and industry intelligence
- Identify, develop and support the team with identification of new customers
- Accelerate new channel partner (Distributors, OEMs, Integrators) relationships
- Maintain, update and coach Salesforce discipline
- Responsible for achieving individual and team booking and revenue targets
- Provide urgent response time in delivering customer & channel partner satisfaction
- Responsible for prospecting, developing and managing a distribution network. Including distributor strategy execution, distributor performance management, and distributor key performance indicators (KPIs)
