About The Position

This position is responsible for selling Tyson Fresh Meats products and managing customer support activities for large, high-volume foodservice accounts to achieve Tyson’s financial, business, and customer satisfaction objectives. The role collaborates closely with several internal departments and requires the ability to adapt to varying customer personalities in order to effectively manage complex, high-volume accounts. Effective and efficient time management is essential to successfully negotiate and evaluate business decisions. These decisions are often time-pressed and frequently have a significant impact on overall market psychology, pricing, and positioning within the meat industry. As a market leader, Tyson Fresh Meats requires this individual to demonstrate strong knowledge and confidence in pricing, market trends, and product expertise to be successful in a highly dynamic environment. This role must consistently uphold Tyson company policies, core values, team behaviors, and Right Behaviors.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience required
  • Fresh Meats sales preferred
  • Prior leadership experience in a professional or community setting is a plus
  • Standard computer proficiency
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to confidently present material both over the phone and in person
  • Knowledge of Tyson Fresh Meats systems, departments, product codes, plant capabilities, and product programs is desirable
  • Proven experience communicating critical and influential information in a prior sales or equivalent role
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent industry experience
