About The Position

Pantheon is seeking a Senior Manager to join their FP&A team. This role will serve as a strategic business partner to Product and Engineering leaders, focusing on financial analysis and influencing investment decisions for the company's future. The position involves owning infrastructure spend analysis, productivity modeling, and R&D investment profiles, while collaborating closely with technical leaders. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role offers significant growth potential as Pantheon scales.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of finance experience with a business partnering focus (FP&A, Investment Banking, or Strategy Consulting)
  • Proven track record working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering in a technology-driven environment
  • Comfort navigating complex, ambiguous and large data — and a talent for turning it into a clear story
  • A bias toward action and continuous improvement
  • The willingness to roll up your sleeves, regardless of the size of the task
  • Humility, a collaborative mindset, and a sense of humor

Nice To Haves

  • Background in venture-backed or pre-IPO companies
  • Familiarity with usage-based infrastructure costs (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience scaling financial systems and tooling

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product & Engineering on strategic investment decisions, leading ROI analyses, product opportunity sizing, and providing financial perspectives on location strategy and staffing.
  • Own infrastructure finance end-to-end, including understanding the technical and financial aspects of the infrastructure stack (Google Cloud, Cloudflare, Grafana, Okta), building budgets, tracking efficiency, and optimizing costs.
  • Build and scale financial planning systems by partnering with FP&A and Systems teams to design and implement a next-generation financial forecasting tool, automating and scaling systems, and driving AI adoption.
  • Drive efficiency across core finance processes by identifying and executing opportunities to improve speed and accuracy in FP&A and Accounting, applying automation and AI to processes like month-end close, forecasting, cash management, headcount reviews, vendor management, accruals, and balance sheet tracking.
  • Contribute to board and investor narratives by collaborating with Finance and R&D leaders on materials and analyses related to product strategy, market position, Gross Margin, infrastructure spend, product investments, and TAM.
