As a Senior Manger of Program Management at Caterpillar, you will have the opportunity to leads a team of project management professionals and oversee the operational functions and strategies of more complex corporate programs.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Extensive experience in knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Extensive experience in understanding of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team.
  • Extensive experience in knowledge of organization's budget process; ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.

  • Degree or equivalent experience desired
  • Progressive project management experience including extensive supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating and providing guidance during the general and detailed planning stages of organizational programs; developing strategies to ensure all projects within the program are cohesive and in line with organizational goals.
  • Overseeing the hiring, development and management of all project teams within the program, including both internal staff and external contractors.
  • Defining, establishing and monitoring the program's project management goals.
  • Collaborating with business executives on using a disciplined project management approach and coaching them on their project-related roles and responsibilities.
