The role leads a team of Product Owners responsible for portfolio planning, roadmap prioritization, and delivery execution across business and technology initiatives. Working closely with stakeholders across Distribution, Operations, Technology, Finance, Actuarial, Compliance, Legal, and PMO, the Senior Manager drives alignment, manages competing priorities, and ensures the successful delivery of strategic objectives. The Senior Manager serves as a key leader in portfolio transformation, enabling the evolution of products, processes, digital capabilities, and partner integration solutions while supporting sustainable growth and operational excellence across the Creditor business.

Requirements

  • Proven Product Owner experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • 5 years of experience in the Insurance industry.
  • Experience with policy administration systems.
  • A good understanding of B2B2C business models and sales lifecycles.
  • Experience with budgeting, portfolio management, or project financials.
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills (people management considered an asset).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Creditor Insurance is considered to be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a 4+ team of Product Owners.
  • Own and guide the strategic roadmap for Creditor including preparation for quarterly Horizon Planning session (aka PI planning).
  • Ensure product priorities align with business strategy and portfolio objectives.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment across business and technology teams.
  • Manage roadmap planning, prioritisation, and delivery oversight including the process to iterate business cases from concept to approved project.
  • Support budget, portfolio, and financial management activities.
  • Provide leadership across multi-functional teams and initiatives.
  • Act as a senior contributor on product strategy and execution.
  • Build trusting relationships and provide feedback to enable the successful development of your team and colleagues.
  • Foster innovation and continuous improvement with a focus on client experience.
  • Facilitate the adoption of change and create a high-performance culture through alignment of your team’s work with organizational goals.
  • Successfully convey messages and demonstrate openness to exploring alternative points of view.
  • Use critical thinking to guide decision making.
