We are currently seeking a visionary Product Strategy Senior Manager to join our Drug Product Development Team, driving strategic product initiatives with a focus on integrating early commercial insights, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring a patient-centric approach.

Requirements

  • BS in bioscience, pharmaceutical science, or engineering (mechanical, biomedical, chemical) with 12 years of experience, or MS with 9 years. Advanced degree holders with less experience may also be considered.
  • Knowledge of drug delivery device technologies, drug product development, and/or healthcare market dynamics.
  • Strategic agility, scenario planning, and effective navigation of ambiguity.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Ability to integrate scientific and commercial discussions into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement, teamwork, and fostering collaboration across disciplines.
  • Understanding of design thinking principles for early technology and concept development.
  • Comfort with adaptive product planning to balance long-term strategies with emerging data and insights.
  • Strong decision-making and communication skills for presenting recommendations to matrix teams and senior leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • An MS degree in business management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, market dynamics, and state-of-the-art technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Early Commercial Insight Integration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring commercial insights into the R&D pipeline, enhancing the commercial viability of new assets from the early stages of development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams across Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, Product Development (e.g., formulation, packaging, devices), and CMC to define and execute product strategies. Partner with Business Development to identify strategic external partnerships.
  • Patient-Centric Approach: Leverage patient insights, real-world evidence, and health economics research to integrate patient needs into product design targets. Incorporate patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and social determinants of health (SDoH).
  • Technological & Digital Adaptation: Assess technology landscapes, define investment strategies, and manage a technology and innovation database. Incorporate digital solutions to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Strategic Financial Modeling: Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making for product presentations, investment strategies, and technology adoption.
  • Market Analysis: Perform comprehensive market analyses to evaluate competitive landscapes, industry trends, and opportunities for differentiation and growth.

Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
