About The Position

The Senior Manager of Product Management and Strategy is responsible for working cross functionally to develop, assist in execution, and continuously improve upon a market growth strategy that supports a profitable growth across the entire Medicaid/Medicare portfolio. This role involves supporting the development of presentations for management meetings, leading the Monthly Operating Review, tracking key performance indicators, managing competitive intelligence, and collaborating with various departments to develop market growth and retention plans. The position also focuses on optimizing operational efficiency, identifying growth opportunities, and serving as the primary owner for projects and strategies related to profit and loss accountability, while managing ongoing reporting metrics for insights and recommendations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Demonstrated high level of emotional intelligence
3 – 5 years of experience in healthcare or strategy consulting
Ability to identify areas of opportunity, develop a plan of action
Product development, finance, analytical, or project management experience
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to effectively manage time, and commitment to developing quality work quickly
Ability to effectively manage cross-functionally and directly
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience presenting to large cross-functional teams including C-suite or executive leaders
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel proficiency

Nice To Haves

Advanced knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare products
Master's degree in public health or business administration.
Experience working with a hospital, health insurance company, healthcare focused government agency or non-profit (e.g. DOH) or other company operating in healthcare space (including start up)
Familiarity with Business Intelligence and Data Visualization Tools (such as Qlikview, Tableau).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage up and across multiple departments of a large organization.
Supervisory or team lead experience.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adjust to changes quickly while meeting deadlines.
Strong problem solving and effective decision-making skills. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion of sensitive and/or confidential matters.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Develop, assist in execution, and continuously improve upon a market growth strategy that supports profitable growth across the entire Medicaid/Medicare portfolio.
Support developing presentations for on-going management meetings including the 3-Strategic Plan, Board & Committee meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews and other management meetings as needed.
Lead the Monthly Operating Review agenda setting and work collaboratively across all departments to identify discussion items as well as progress tracking towards Budget goals.
Helps the team set up the necessary tracking of key performance indicators.
Manage competitive intelligence including enrollment landscape providing insights and recommendations for future growth.
Work collaboratively with financial analysis, sales, and marketing to develop market growth and retention plans to achieve membership objectives.
Optimize operational efficiency of the Medicaid/Medicare portfolio.
Identify key cohorts and opportunities for achieving short- and long-term membership growth goals across products and service areas.
Serve as the primary owner of identifying and executing projects and strategies that focus on profit and loss accountability.
Manage on-going reporting metrics aimed at providing insights and recommendations for future growth and efficiencies.
