About The Position

The Senior Product Manager, Product Strategy and Development at ampliFI plays a critical execution and delivery role within ampliFI’s loyalty and rewards ecosystem. This role contributes to the overall product roadmap while directly owning the definition, requirements, and delivery of assigned features and components across real-time rewards, merchant-funded offers, various redemption options, and consumer engagement experiences. The role requires a strong mix of analytical, technical, and customer-facing skills, translating business and client requirements into detailed specifications, user stories, and test cases, and partnering closely with Technology and Design teams to bring solutions to market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience; advanced degree a plus.
  • 5–7+ years of product management, business analysis, or related experience, ideally within loyalty, rewards, payments, or financial services.
  • Hands-on experience developing detailed product requirements, functional and nonfunctional requirements, UI/UX design, business rules, user stories, acceptance criteria, process or data flows, and test scenarios.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Quality Assurance and Technology through test planning, end-to-end testing, user and client acceptance testing, defect resolution, and launch validation.
  • Strong customer-facing skills to gather requirements, clarify needs, and translate them into actionable deliverables.
  • Understanding of financial services and processor-level ecosystems (e.g., issuer processing, settlement, payment flows).
  • Experience defining products that depend on integrations, APIs, SDKs, data flows, platform services, UI/UX, processing logic, and operational controls.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design processes and building consumer-facing digital experiences.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with strong technical aptitude.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and backlog management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI or AI-enabled tools for requirements, analysis, or documentation, including prompt design, output validation, and responsible use.
  • Working knowledge of PCI DSS, privacy, security, and accessibility requirements applicable to loyalty and payments products.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to ampliFI’s loyalty and consumer engagement roadmap by providing input based on client needs, competitive trends, and internal priorities.
  • Own the detailed definition, requirements, and execution for assigned product features or initiatives.
  • Lead discovery and validation for assigned initiatives using client and consumer input, market and competitive insight, product data, and operational learning.
  • Manage and refine the assigned product backlog, establishing priorities, sequencing work, documenting decisions, tracking dependencies, and escalating material scope, risk, or timeline tradeoffs.
  • Translate business objectives into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure alignment of assigned deliverables with the overall Product vision and strategy set by leadership.
  • Develop product recommendations and business cases that outline the opportunity, target users, expected value, risks, dependencies, and success measures for assigned initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain product requirement documents, functional and nonfunctional requirements, business rules, process and data flows, UI/UX designs, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and traceability for new features and enhancements.
  • Own assigned features through the full product lifecycle, including discovery, definition, design, development, testing, release readiness, launch, adoption, optimization, maintenance, and retirement planning.
  • Partner with Technology to evaluate technical approaches, integrations, APIs, SDKs, data requirements, dependencies, performance considerations, sequencing, and delivery tradeoffs while preserving Technology ownership of architecture and solution design.
  • Define testable acceptance criteria and partner with Quality Assurance and Technology on test strategy and coverage; participate in end-to-end, user acceptance, client acceptance, pilot, and launch validation activities as assigned.
  • Work closely with UI/UX teams to design intuitive and engaging consumer experiences.
  • Track and report on KPIs and product performance for owned features; recommend improvements.
  • If necessary, able to coordinate release readiness and launch activities, including internal enablement, client readiness, release communications, operational handoff, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Maintain requirements traceability from business need through testing and release, confirming delivered functionality matches approved requirements.
  • Ensure assigned capabilities address applicable security, privacy, PCI DSS, accessibility, auditability, service-level, analytics, monitoring, and operational-support requirements.
  • Support defect triage and production issue analysis by confirming intended product behavior and assessing customer impact.
  • Engage with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to capture and clarify requirements.
  • Act as the lead translator of clients and consumer needs into business and technical requirements for assigned product components.
  • Support Sales and Client Success in explaining product capabilities and gathering feedback from client implementations.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions for real-time rewards, innovative earn/redemption models, offers, and consumer engagement.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to inform product enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, analytics, and personalization within loyalty and rewards experiences.
  • Use approved generative AI tools to accelerate business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, edge-case analysis, test scenarios, and documentation.
  • Write clear, structured prompts and validate every AI output for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with approved product direction before use.
  • Apply AI tools to compare requirements against delivered scope and improve test coverage, without replacing Product judgment or Technology and QA review.
  • Follow company requirements for data privacy, security, and confidentiality; never place protected customer or cardholder data into unapproved AI tools.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Technology, Analytics, Operations, Marketing, and Compliance to deliver features on time and with quality.
  • Work under the guidance of the Vice President of Product Strategy and Development while owning assigned initiatives end-to-end.
