About The Position

The Senior Manager, Partnership Activation will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution of marketing assets, and day-to-day management of assigned partnership account for Sun Devil Athletics. The Senior Manager, Partnership Activation acts as the liaison between partners and/or their agencies and internal departments of Sun Devil Athletics and Arizona State University. This position reports to the Director, Partnership Activation. Adheres to NCAA and rules and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of the department, the university and the Arizona Board of Regents.

Requirements

  • BACHELOR'S degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field including two (2) years managerial experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Adheres to NCAA and rules and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of the department, the university and the Arizona Board of Regents.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in a partnership role in collegiate athletics or professional sports
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage time and projects, and demonstrate flexibility
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both written and orally, and with persons at multiple levels
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to travel as required (typically 1-3 trips per year)
  • Employee must possess a valid US Driver’s license of the appropriate class and required endorsements throughout employment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts with ongoing communication, planning of each account’s overall activation strategy, and execution of marketing assets
  • Collaborate with sales colleagues to ensure a full understanding of partner marketing objectives and strategic priorities
  • Coordinate the fulfillment of partner marketing assets with other Sun Devil Athletics and Arizona State University departments
  • Conduct regular status meetings or calls with each account to provide detailed proof of performance reports and continually evaluate the effectiveness of the partnership
  • Provide hospitality to partners and their guests at athletic events and department events
  • Track expenses and manage budgets relating to the execution of accounts
  • Take an active role in account renewals
  • Maintain and update client service related elements within CRM systems
  • Oversee the department’s internship program
  • Serve as the department’s primary contact to the Sun Devil Athletics’ digital team for the scheduling and execution of all partner social media, email and other digital assets
  • Other duties as assigned.
