About The Position

The Manager, Activation role involves having working knowledge of Local TV, Radio, Network Radio, and Digital Audio. This position requires collaboration with the Strategy team to understand goals, address client needs, and communicate results and insights. The manager will work closely with a Director to ensure efficient and effective campaign setup, adjustments, and optimization. Key responsibilities include supporting the buying and execution process across Digital Direct and Terrestrial channels, overseeing media campaign stewardship, analyzing performance data for actionable insights, and maintaining accurate client reporting. The role also involves contributing to investment discussions, developing strong relationships with station representatives and media partners, and staying informed about marketplace conditions and economic indicators affecting local channels.

Requirements

  • Fluent user of Microsoft Office – specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of using Prisma and Media Ocean.
  • Working knowledge of third-party ad serving and measurement platforms (e.g. DCM, IAS), including tagging, tracking, and performance verification.
  • Strong knowledge of media math formulas and concepts.
  • Experience juggling multiple work priorities
  • Detail-oriented, organized, good follow through, able to multi-task, and work well under tight deadlines.
  • Experience working across several media channels and a curiosity in emerging media platforms
  • Experience working with large data sets and understanding of methodologies for evaluating data
  • Ability to effectively manage costs while exceeding performance and viewability goals.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent listening abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Have working knowledge of Local TV, Radio, Network Radio and Digital Audio.
  • Work with Strategy team to understand goals, address client needs, and communicate results and insights as needed.
  • Working side-by-side with Director to ensure tight coordination of campaign setup, adjustments and optimization performance is efficient and effective.
  • Support the buying and execution process across Digital Direct and Terrestrial channels, partnering with leadership on negotiations.
  • Overseeing and managing the media campaign stewardship process, including performance reporting, system-entry, direct billing, and reconciliation process.
  • Analyze campaign performance and translate data into clear insights and actionable optimizations.
  • Maintain accurate reporting for client-savings and client budgets.
  • Act as a key contributor in investment discussions, providing informed recommendations based on performance, marketplace trends, and campaign learnings.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with station representatives, management and owners to ensure GEICO receive top-level attention.
  • As requested, collaborate with media partners to develop strategic opportunities that enhance Local Investment efforts.
  • Develop and support successful partnerships with Orion partners that can enhance GEICOs' local investment.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with internal and external teams.
  • Ensure proper post-buy analyses are prepared and shared with Director.
  • Maintain current knowledge of marketplace conditions and economic indicators that impact local channels.
